About Me

Kiril Sharov (KirSh) was born into a doctor’s family on the 24th of August 1965 in the city of Sofia, Bulgaria.

In his home town he attended  several schools, the last  being the German High School .He also  studied medicine at the Medical Academy in Sofia.

After that he established and led Sharov Medical Publishing, a company which  specializes in translating and publishing medical and dental literature.

Since 2002 he has worked as a medical doctor in several hospitals in Upper Bavaria, Germany. He is currently working in Mainburg, near Munich/Freising.

Kiril Sharov began to paint with acrylic colours on canvas in 1997 during his stay in London, UK.

One-man shows:

2000 - in the gallery “Kadinovi Bros” in Sofia, Bulgaria
2002 - in the Centre for European Integration (patronage of the Agency of the Bulgarians abroad, the Bulgarian Foreign Office and the gallery K2) in Sofia, Bulgaria
2004 - in the offices of D-Tech-Group in Salzburg, Austria, special guest – the Mayor of Salzburg
2006 – in the Bar “Segafredo” in Rosenheim, Germany

The paintings of Kiril Sharov reflect funny, happy and humorous faces, life in the city and  the human body in vivid colours.

Over a short period of time, Kiril Sharov created in excess of 150 paintings, most of which were sold and are now held in private collections.
